As a drummer, I love the percussion displayed on this record. Super strange noises. If you strip everything away these songs are still amazing. Acoustic or full band, it doesn't matter. Side note: This is a great fall record.

U2: The Joshua TreeOk, this one makes a lot of lists I’m sure, and for good reason. The sonic atmosphere they were able to capture is brilliant. The overall flow and transition of the record makes the listener stay on board the whole way through.

Kings of Leon: Ah Shake Heartbreak

I gotta get this out there, I could be blindfolded and choose any of their records as my favorite. For me this album sits in the transition between mean cocky rock'n'roll and more modern polished rock. It's a great blend of old and new.
